Organizing made easy

Helping people simplify, reset, and personalize their spaces across the Greater Seattle area.

My work is about building systems.

I help busy people take control of their spaces and routines so they can focus on what matters most.

Hi, I’m Taro (he/him)

I am a veterinarian turned professional organizer with a passion for creating functional, beautiful spaces. I began my career as a consultant to animal shelters, focusing on standardizing operations, organizing facilities, and cleaning up data. For the past 10 years, I have worked with organizations of all sizes, from small rescues to large government agencies across the US and abroad.

I have seen firsthand how much more people can accomplish when there is a clear, functional system in place.

It became clear to me that the most rewarding part of my job was the organizing, not the medicine. While I still practice medicine part-time, I am working hard to become a full-time professional organizer.

I am a fourth-generation Japanese American from Woodinville, Washington. Outside of work, I enjoy sewing and crafting, working on cars, gardening, and all kinds of games. I live in Seattle with my boyfriend and a rotating group of foster cats.

All are welcome

As a gay transgender man, I understand how important it is to feel safe and authentic. I am committed to creating a judgment-free and respectful space for both my clients and colleagues.

Tidy with Taro is a queer, kink, and poly friendly business.

Your environment impacts your mood, productivity, and health

Here’s what I do

I work with you to identify your goals, come up with an action plan, and then execute that plan. I will be your coach and cheerleader every step of the way.

For my fellow professionals

I love working as part of a team and am always open to work in the Seattle Area.

Tool Closet

This client had a tool closet that had caused frustration for over ten years. What had been put off for years, we completed together in a single session, with time to spare.

Before, it was nearly impossible to pull anything out, and no one knew what was hiding in the back.

We sorted the space, identified duplicates, and kept only what the client truly needed and wanted. Unneeded items were donated.

Everything was then put back in a clear, labeled, and easy to find system.

Pet Pantry Storage Unit

This small nonprofit had an overcrowded pantry that was unsafe and hard to manage. We reorganized the entire space and created clear systems to track donations and distributions. The pantry now runs smoothly with minimal upkeep.

For non-profits

Each year, Tidy with Taro donates a limited number of low or no cost organizing sessions to 501(c)(3) organizations, with a special focus on animal focused nonprofits. If your organization is looking for a fresh start, please contact me to schedule a free consultation.
