Organizing made easy
Helping people simplify, reset, and personalize their spaces across the Greater Seattle area.
My work is about building systems that work for how you live.
I help busy people like you take control of their spaces and routines so you can focus on what matters most.
Start enjoying your life without the constant background stress of clutter.
Hi, I’m Taro (he/him)
I am a veterinarian turned professional organizer with a passion for creating calm and clarity. I began my career as a consultant for animal shelters, where I focused on standardizing operations, organizing pharmacies, and cleaning up data. For the past 10 years I have worked with organizations of all sizes, from small rescues to large government agencies across the US and abroad.
I have seen firsthand how much more people can accomplish when there is a clear, functional system in place.
The same is true at home. Have you ever found expired food hidden in the back of the fridge? Struggled to let go of an expensive item that never quite works? Cleaned your desk only to see it pile up again days later? These common frustrations can be solved with thoughtful systems and the support of a professional organizer.
I am a fourth generation Japanese American from Woodinville, Washington. Outside of work, I enjoy sewing and crafting, working on cars, gardening, and all kinds of games. I live in Seattle with my boyfriend and a rotating group of foster cats.
All are welcome
As a gay transgender man, I understand how important it is to feel safe and authentic. I am committed to creating a judgment-free and respectful space where you can be you.
Tidy with Taro is a queer, kink, and poly friendly business.
Your environment impacts your mood, productivity, and health
Here’s what I do
I work with you to identify your goals, come up with an action plan, and then execute that plan. I will be your coach and cheerleader every step of the way.
-
I work with clients or as part of larger teams to help organize all aspects of a home or business.
-
I have experience with local, national, and international moves. As an expert packer, I know how to maximize space in boxes to keep items safe while minimizing waste.
I can help with downsizing and decluttering before a move, as well as unpacking and setting up your new space.
I do not provide moving or freight services, but I am happy to coordinate with your chosen moving company.
-
Clothing and style are some of my biggest passions. I love shopping, staying up to date with trends, and finding that perfect piece. I have experience with seasonal color analysis and can help you rework your wardrobe based on your personal style.
As a former Closet Designer, I also have experience with custom built-ins and know the ins and outs of the custom closet industry.
-
In addition to helping you tidy your space, I enjoy helping it reflect your personal style. I will never pressure you to buy bins or organizational products. When appropriate, I may suggest items or furniture that suit your needs and enhance your space.
-
Not only can I help you organize your physical life, but your digital one as well. From files to photos, I am tech-savvy and can help you streamline how you manage all your files.
For my fellow professionals
I love working as part of a team and am always open to work in the Seattle Area.
Tool Closet
This client had a tool closet that had caused frustration for over ten years. What had been put off for years, we completed together in a single session, with time to spare.
Before, it was nearly impossible to pull anything out, and no one knew what was hiding in the back.
We sorted the space, identified duplicates, and kept only what the client truly needed and wanted. Unneeded items were donated.
Everything was then put back in a clear, labeled, and easy to find system.
Pet Pantry Storage Unit
This small nonprofit had an overcrowded pantry that was unsafe and hard to manage. We reorganized the entire space and created clear systems to track donations and distributions. The pantry now runs smoothly with minimal upkeep.
For non-profits
Each year, Tidy with Taro donates a limited number of low or no cost organizing sessions to 501(c)(3) organizations, with a special focus on animal focused nonprofits. If your organization is looking for a fresh start, please contact me to schedule a free consultation.
